Heathrow airport closed after fire causes power outage

Blue Orchid Hospitality would like to advise all guests that Heathrow Airport is closed until at least 23:59 on 21 March 2025. The temporary closure is due to a fire at an electrical substation supplying the airport, resulting in a significant power outage at Heathrow. Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport.

Blue Orchid’s team are on hand to assist affected guests and make your travel arrangements as seamless as possible.

For guests who now need to extend their stay, please speak to Reception.
